Our Placekeeping
Approach & Philosophy

Placekeeping is the active care, engagement and maintenance of the cultural memories and social fabric of the very people who live and work in a place. Our development process begins with a Community Participatory Research (CPR) model to ensure ownership of actions and goals

Following that, community members engage in Health Equity Training Academy, and close out the initial placekeeping phase through development of community-led documentation with fellow cohort members for neighborhood dissemination and in academic publications.
